Tbilisi welcomes a resolution of the European Parliament on EU-Russia summit. The document highlights the issue of Georgia and includes specific requirements to Moscow.

The Georgian Foreign Ministry notes that the European Parliament calls on Russia to honour cease-fire agreement, in particular, to ensure admission of European observers into the occupied regions and withdraw its troops from Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region to the pre-war positions.

In addition, the European Parliament urges EU High Commissioner and the European Commission to influence Moscow to stop issuing Russian passports to residents of the occupied territories.
