Sukhumi and Tskhinvali are against a Georgian draft of the UN resolution on the situation of refugees from Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region. The document was recently presented to the UN General Assembly and caused protest of the puppet regimes. Abkhazian representative Vyacheslav Chirikba, who is a member of the Russian delegation at the Geneva talks, accused Tbilisi of imposing a distorted vision of the problem on the international community. His colleague, Boris Chochiev even threatened to withdraw from negotiations on humanitarian issues, if the UN would adopt this resolution. Commenting on the position of Russian puppets, chairman of the legitimate Supreme Council of Abkhazia Gia Gvazava stated that Russia and its puppet regimes do not want return of refugees and are trying to delay that issue.
