Yesterday on the territory of the Gali district of Abkhazia Russian occupants again attacked Georgian citizens who were traveling in two minibuses from Zugdidi to Gali. The majority of travelers were women, children and old people. They were searched and food, money and jewelry were taken away from them. Later they were transferred to Gali police station. Those who failed to produce Abkhazian passports and passes were arrested and put in jail. After preliminary investigation they were asked to pay 1000 US dollars for letting them free.
One of the drivers who did not obey was severely beaten up. His relatives transferred him to Zugdidi hospital. He had serious injuries and bruises.
