Council of Europe will discuss Russian law on the use of force outside the country

The law on the use of armed forces outside the country adopted by the State Duma of the Russian Federation will be discussed at the winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. According to Vice-Speaker of the Georgian parliament Paata Davitaia, Russia has received recommendation from the Council of Europe to revise the bill and send it to the Venice Commission.

According to Davitaia, Russia ignored this requirement of the Council of Europe as well, and the Council of Europe will criticize Russia for this – said Davitaia. Also he intends to make a Statement on this matter at the session of PACE. Winter session of the Council of Europe is scheduled for late January.
