The President of Georgia considers release of two 14 year-old Georgian schoolchildren Aleko Sabadze and GiorgiRomelashvili from Tskhinvali prison to be a result of international pressure. With this regard, Mikhail Saakashvili expressed his gratitude to the head of the EU monitoring mission Hans-Jorg Haber and Commissioner of the Council of Europe for Human Rights Thomas Hammarberg.

Manana Manjgaladze, press secretary of the President who reported this also noted that the head of state was "not fully satisfied" as two other teenagers - 16-year-old Victor Buchukuri and 17-year-old Levan Khmiadashvili - remained in captivity. The Georgian side continues to work for their release and to actively engage international organizations in the process - noted Manjgaladze.
