Border Police chief will not be Deputy Interior Minister

The head of the Border Police will not simultaneously hold the position of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.

A corresponding amendment was introduced into the law On the Border Police and a paragraph according to which, the head of the Border Police is also the Deputy Interior Minister - withdrawn.

The head of the Border Police will be appointed by the Prime Minister, on the recommendation of the Head of the Interior Ministry and with the approval of the President. While he is dismissed from the post by the President, on his own initiative, or by the Prime Minister, with the advice of the Minister of Internal Affairs.
