25/07/2012 11:37

For the last few days Georgian journalist Mari Otarashvili cannot leave the Akhalgori district of the occupied Tskhinvali region. Representatives of the puppet regime took away her number 9 form, without which she cannot leave the occupied region. Despite a promise to shortly return the document, she still had not received it.

In connection with this prosecutor of the Tskhinvali puppet regime Merab Chigoev said that Otarashvili was allegedly "working without official accreditation of the authorities" and that this “ was to become the beginning of a serious problem one day”.

It should be noted that Mari Otarashvili is registered in Akhalgori, she has a house, family there and goes to the settlement every week. The journalist herself said that she did not understand why the Tskhinvali regime questioned legality of her registration in Akhalgori.

"Everyone knows that I have a house in Akhalgori, and come here very often” - she told Mtskheta-Mtianeti information centre.

The Georgian journalist was detained on July 22. She was kept in the police department for several hours and then transferred to a "prosecutor’s office" and afterwards released. Before the release her form number 9 was confiscated from her.
