The Georgian side is limited in capability to respond to "restoration" of the church in Lykhny started by the occupation regime. This was said by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Nino Kalandadze.

"Unfortunately this is not the first time, and the Georgian side is unable to oppose to this action. International observers, including representatives of UNESCO, are not given opportunity to enter the occupied territory. We do not leave these facts without response. We express our protest against those that are responsible. We are in constant contact with representatives of UNESCO, from whom we demand response "- Kalandadze said.
