According to Abkhazian media, apparently it was Ruslan Gitsba detained on charges of attack on Ankvab that gave testimony about location of six weapon caches discovered on May 22 in the villages of Duripsh and Dzhirkhva of the Gudauta district. This was the "second stage" of the discovery of weapons caches; the first one took place 20 days ago. This "find" was joyfully greeted by Russian Antiterrorist Committee. Allegedly they together with Abkhazian law enforcement officers discovered weapons caches hidden by Georgians and Doku Umarov that were intended to disrupt the Sochi Olympics. Russian propaganda machine was not far behind, and composed a myth of the “Abkhazian Jamaat", although according to the Abkhaz law enforcement, grounds for its existence do not exist. This time, Abkhazians have guessed to what they could have been drawn, first, by antagonizing Umarov and then by the police regime introduced under the pretext of action against “Abkhazian Jamaat" by the Russian special services. And then immediately poured cold water over the Russian “colleagues ". They not only denied suggestion about the Georgian trail, but also refuted the version that the arsenal was intended to carry out subversive acts in Sochi.
Therefore, the latest finding was met by Russians with silence. As they also understand that no one would dare to hold so many caches of weapons (so far their number is 16) in this small district of Abkhazia that is abound with modern Russian equipment and weapons and where military base stationed with its officers and military personnel, border guards scattered along the coast and on land and a very impressive number of representatives of special services of this country, whose number is almost equal to the number of male residents in Gudauta, are stationed there. And even if someone dared, no one would believe that Russian security services had no hand in all this. So, the version of the Club of Experts about those ordering the attack on Ankvab and the Russian trace (however the Kremlin inhabitants are trying to destroy it) is gradually gathering strength.
As to weapons in the caches, the list clearly demonstrates that Abkhazia has been transformed into a transit corridor for illegal arms trade, to prevent which was, apparently, a task that Ankvab set out to do from his first day in on the post. It is therefore clear, for what and by whom the same weapon, which appeared in the attack against him, were used. The list of the found weapons looks very impressive: 40 units of rocket-propelled grenade launchers Aglen; anti-tank sets with 23 rockets; RPO Shmel; 110 AGS shells, tank gun, upgraded Kalashnikov machine guns; Kalashnikov and Dektyarov portable grenade launchers ; compact grenade launcher; grenades of various modifications, night vision devices and many more military ammunition.
It's safe to say that this arsenal could have never fallen into the hands of Abkhazian "militants" without permission of senior officials of the law enforcement structures of Russia, because these are very specific weapons and in short supply even in the Russian army. We are not specialists of Russian arms, but if this brief list is to be shown to independent military experts, their opinion would be quite scandalous for the Kremlin. This fact is exactly the reason for silence of the Antiterrorist Committee of Russia.
In this case we are surprised that Abkhazian "law enforcers" have taken a categorical position, and despite "work" of Putin on Ankvab, they did not agree to the Russian version. What could that mean? So far, there is no unequivocal answer but we have a paradox here when the "creation" started growling at its "creator."
This is confirmed by information of Apsny.ru that says that: "on March 21 a rally took place in Sukhumi dedicated to the remembrance day of victims of the Russian-Caucasian war". We will not start naming all events that have taken place. The main thing is that with the participation of Abkhazian officials an anti-Russian rally was actually held in Sukhumi. And there is a campaign on theme of genocide of the Circassian people in the Abkhaz media. I wonder what assessments "the Russian ambassador" in Abkhazia, whom chauvinist Russians accuse of love of partying and guitar-playing, did make.
A paradox is that there was an article in the same "Apsny.ru" titled "May 28 - Day of the Russian border guards." So here we have the article on the genocide and direct descendants of its victims literally on the same page with the information about the celebration of the Day of a border guard. By the way, events scheduled for this day are indeed impressive: divine liturgy in Sukhumi Cathedral in honour of the Russian border guards, marine parade, children performances, etc. a festive meeting of the Russian border guards held in Philharmonic hall. And all this in the place where just one week ago the day of remembrance of victims of genocide was held. A paradox Indeed!
But the biggest paradox, perhaps, is existence of the so-called "the academy of sciences of Abkhazia" about preparations for the 15th anniversary of which Apsny. ru wrote. Any academy of sciences (except industrial and educational) brings together researchers of different directions, scientists, relevant academic institutions and coordinates their research activities. The “foundation" of the academy is philosophy that defines priorities of a scientific field. We know that Abkhazian philosophy, as such, does not exist at all, not to mention multi-sectoral studies that require coordination. Let's see Abkhazian script was created in the fifties of the XX century, and the Academy of Sciences – in the nineties. What kind of boom in fundamental research could have occurred there in these forty years that it needed establishment of the academy for classification of "achievements" and coordination of follow-up studies? What kind of research we can talk about, when they were unable to create secondary school textbooks in their native language, the school that is called Abkhazian automatically becomes Russian from the fourth grade?! It turns out that the so-called "academy of sciences of Abkhazia" is illusion just like centuries-old Abkhazian statehood. "This "academy", due to a shortage of specialists in other industries, is constituted by "historians," the main purpose of which is falsification to the advantage of the ideology. It would therefore be better to rename the "academy of sciences of Abkhazia" into "school of falsification." And they will earn some money too. There are after all numerous of those keen on falsifications in countries "friendly" to Abkhazia. And since they are falsifying everything Georgian, they can rely on finances from Putin. Will he pay true Abkhazian scholars, when he is not paying Russian scientists for their real scientific research?! When for anti-Georgian researches he indeed pays really generously! He is a man like this, and loves paradoxes at that.
And one of the paradoxes is a desire of Abkhazians to play football under the aegis of FIFA - Kosovo was allowed to do this so now they want too, that’s their logic.
According to the Russian media Abkhazian leadership is preparing an appeal to the International Football Association (FIFA) with a request to allow its national team to hold friendly matches with teams - members of FIFA. The republic’s Football authorities hope that following Kosovo FIFA officials will allow them to hold friendly matches" ... "Until yesterday, the last team that received similar approval from FIFA was the of Faroe Islands team that joined the International Football Association in 1988. This week at a meeting of the executive committee of FIFA the team of Kosovo has been also allowed to hold friendly matches at the official level. Last year, Kosovo already appealed to FIFA with such request, but was refused. "
The journalist contacted with the “president of the Football Federation of Abkhazia" Jamal Gubaz (before the man's name was Dzemal, but apparently it sounded too much "like Georgian name" and he changed it. It's like a Russian saying “I will tear my eyes out, so that my mother-in-law has a one-eyed son-in-law "). At the beginning of the interview, he made sure to give the weight to his person (clearly he loves post and office): “I, as head of the football federation of Abkhazia, will soon go to Moscow and then the FIFA headquarters in Switzerland”... And then he says that Abkhazians deserves membership of FIFA, but immediately let all come to nothing:" ... We would like to see an Abkhazian team playing in a Russian division, at least in the second ... ". The man had just played with the stars (FIFA), and now he is dreaming of the second Russian division! Yes, but if they dream of a Russian division, let them go to the Russian Football Federation. What do they need in FIFA? After all their football potential cannot go beyond one team and even Gubaz acknowledges that. And on the basis of one team they want to have a FIFA member football federation?! This "football federation" is as illusory as the "academy of sciences of Abkhazia". They are just set on having everything that Georgians have. They may well be courting trouble.
