According to the government program for voluntary resettlement of overseas compatriots to homeland, Russian-language Cossack families will be resettled in the east part of Stavropol from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. According to the regional administration, in recent times because of "pressure of alien culture" Russian-speaking population left these places and it was occupied by Dagestani shepherds.

Together with this plan the leadership of Stavropol and Nevinnomisky Orthodox Diocese in order to revive the spiritual life in "eastern zone" decided to build 24 Orthodox churches in this region and send additional 51 clerics by 2015.

The Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) and the administration of the North Caucasus Federal District headed by Alexander Khloponin will be actively involved in realization of the specified activities and their financing.
