In the Gali district young people who are evading service in the Abkhazian army declared wanted. According to a source of agency Pirveli in the Gali district, parents of young people were informed about this when they went to the military commissariat.

"Young people that are avoiding mandatory military service are wanted by the prosecutor’s office of the Gali district. And when arrested they face imprisonment of up to five years, but then they will still have to serve in the Abkhazian army for 2 years. This means that for fear of being detained, youth will not go to the Gali district, "- said the Pirveli source.
